{"id":475,"date":"2018-12-12T20:09:44","date_gmt":"2018-12-12T20:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alyssajefferson.com\/?p=475"},"modified":"2021-10-20T01:07:31","modified_gmt":"2021-10-20T01:07:31","slug":"restless-dreams-an-adaptation-on-spec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alyssajefferson.com\/?p=475","title":{"rendered":"RESTLESS DREAMS (an adaptation on spec)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve wanted to write this adaptation since I was 16 years old, when I first came across Konami&#8217;s Silent Hill 2.<\/p>\n<p>In the quiet moments, between deftly dodging the acid spray of the writhing Lying Figures, and frantic bludgeoning\/button mashing, I would pause the game to take notes of the use of &#8220;lighting,&#8221; and diegetic sound that set the story tone. I have notebooks full of character and act breakdowns, analyses of multiple POV&#8217;s, monsters, and endings, and storyboard scribbles from every play through.
